Spells
Instructions (How to use it)
- The Navbar appears atop of most of the features of the site and helps quickly navigate between its features.
- The bar shifts to include the current page's title and some specific advice for its use, and link to the wiki for the site's feature(s).
- The filter interface is a quick and easy way to break down the results into usable 'chunks' for use.
There are a number of facets that the filter element brings into play on the current page.
- This opens a popup window for advanced filtering features for that section of the website
- This collapses the filter source details (the list of red and blue colored sources that appear below the filter element as they are added from the
filter
popup.- Simple text filter. You type in the data you are looking for here and the site attempts to filter by it.

- This gives the specific feedback of- From the results of your filter, this chooses a random result.
- Removes the entire, left pane (including Filter and Filter's Result's List), making the page collapse into one column.
- Resets the Filters to using RAW sources.

Sources
- The sources will be listed under the Filter element. Depending up the settings used on the Filter setting page.
Level
- Spell level (ie tier of magic from Cantrip, 1, 2, 3... 9).
Classses
- These are classes which have specific spellcasting abilities or feature spell-like abilities.
SubClasses
- Subclasses whose class features allow for spellcasting, or specific spell usage or spell-like abilities.
Race
- Races which feature special spell or spell like abilities.
Background
- Backgrounds which feature special spell or spell like abilities.
Components & Miscellaneous
- What spell component (Verbal, Somatic, or Materials (and if the material is consume; or has a cost). If the spell is a ritual; Technomagic.
- Additionally, there are filters here that just were added; For HL SGT PRM SMN
- HL - Is a spell that provides some healing.
- SGT - Requires Line of Sight
- PRM - Permanent results
- SMN - Summons creature(s)
- this is a new feature added with the homebrew builder for spells this will matriculate out to the main data
School
- The various schools of magic (Abjuration; Conjuration; Divination; Enchantment; Illusion; etc etc).
Damage Type
- If the spell protects from or generates a damage type; then these will help determine such.
Conditions Inflicted
- Backgrounds which feature special spell or spell like abilities.
Spell Attack
- Backgrounds which feature special spell or spell like abilities.
Saving Throw
- What type of saving throws the spell(s) require.
Opposed Ability Check
- What (if any) ability check is part of the spell.
Cast Time
- The Casting Time; by unit of time only - so reaction; bonus; action - or in rounds; minutes; hours - but not in quantity of such. A spell which takes 10 minutes to cast; is just as filterable as one that takes 1 minute. Also; the filter does not look at the ritual casting time.

Range
- Spell's Range
Area Style
- Filtering for AoE, but type or shape of the AoE, or ifs only single target.
- By selecting an entry upon the filter's result list, the panel on the (5οΈβ£) information pane of the webpage, and will update with the detailed information as it's selected.

keys to manually move through the list of options.

- This will show when an entry is pinned for the first time, and will expand dynamically as additional contents are added.

. When it is clicked (as the animation shows) it will open a small window which can be used to either roll, or return the results of actions triggered by clicking other elements of the site. (usually triggered by a link on the page that most often look like 2d10 this. (There are some instructions on how to do this within the JSON data in the Renderer Demo should you want to enable this for your own documents - see Homebrew.
